| 678 | |b Er studierte Physik an der Universität Göttingen, wo er von 1968 bis 1970 auch promovierte. 1970 Wechsel zum Deutschen Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY nach Hamburg. Hier war er als Postdoc beim Bau und der Inbetriebnahme des ersten Speicherrings in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland DORIS beteiligt. 1984 erfolgte der Ruf an die Universität Dortmund, wo er seit 1985 ordentlicher Professor im Fachbereich Physik war. Ab 1990 wurde er Projektleiter der Dortmunder Speicherringanlage DELTA. Seit der Gründung des "Instituts für Beschleunigerphysik und Synchrotronstrahlung" (IBS) an der Universität Dortmund war er technischer Direktor der Beschleunigeranlage. Seit 2007 im Ruhestand | ||
