C'est l'objet de ce volume, fondé sur un pari herméneutique qui déplace la borne temporelle situant l'avènement de la mystique aux XVIe-XVIIe siècles, et met en confrontation Moyen Age et première modernité. Il adopte une démarche pragmatique qui privilégie une réflexion sur les langues et leur aptitude à favoriser les mécanismes d'une littérature mystiqye, tout en s'interrogeant sur les modalités du language où s'exprime le discours mystique (modalité du silence, codes et langue poétiques, fable). Une série d'études en miroir clôt l'ensemble : s'y voient associés, d'une manière aussi audacieuse que fructueuse, de grands noms de la littérature mystique : Maître Eckhart et Jean de la Croix, Bonaventure et François de Sales, Bernard de Claivaux et Calvin | ||
