On s’interroge ici sur la nature exacte du site et sur le rôle des villageois, originaires du Jebel al-ʿArab voisin, dont les noms figurent dans les inscriptions du lieu. On the Nemara hill, the most eastern Roman military site in the Ḥawrān, many Greek and Latin inscriptions were engraved on the rocks in the imperial period. However, no military building have been found here until now. The issue is to understand the exact nature of the site and the role of the villagers from the Jebel al-ʿArab whose names appear in the local graffiti. تم اكتشاف العديد من النقوش الجدارية البسيطة اليونانية واللّاتينية المنحوتة على الصخور في العصر الإمبراطوري في تلة النمارة (Nemara)، آخر موقع للجيش الروماني شرقي حوران. غير أنه لم يُكتشف أي نظام دفاعي واضح حتى الآن. نتساءل هنا عن طبيعة هذا الموقع وعن دور القرويين، الذين أصلهم من جبل العرب المجاور، الذين تظهر أسماؤهم في نقوش المكان. |
