A new interpretation of the area with successive rebuilding on always higher levels during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II is the result of the analysis. Archäologische, textuelle und andere Quellen wurden in einem digitalen Modell von Babylon kombiniert, wovon hier das Ischtar-Tor, die Prozessionsstraße und das angrenzende Palastareal berücksichtigt werden. Eine neue Interpretation dieses Gebietes mit mehreren Umbauten auf immer höheren Niveaus in der Regierungszeit Nebukadnezars II. ist das Ergebnis der Untersuchung. |
