Description
Summary:The paper first briefly traces the origins of recent interest in the reception history of the Hebrew Bible to a noticeable shift of emphasis in biblical studies in the 1990s, due mainly to the influence of feminist studies, liberation theology and postmodernism. It then focuses on monographs, edited collections, reference works and commentaries published since 2000, and concludes with some comments on the purpose and value of this new interdisciplinary branch of biblical research and some of the exegetical and terminological issues it raises.
