Summary:At the beginning there is a contradiction. On the one hand there is the claim of biblical science to find the original meaning of a biblical text. On the other hand the results (which are produced within this claim) differ and are inconsistent. In this article I try to approach this contradiction with elements of the structural tradition. The central thesis will be: reading is neither neutral nor innocent. It depends on the individual and social location of the readers, who are thinking and acting within world.
