Il fallait dans un premier temps chercher à dater les middot et montrer leur ancienneté. Après cela il est possible de vérifier l'hypothèse proposée en passant en revue les middot pour voir l'écho qu'elles ont trouvé dans l'Évangile de Jean. En finale, l'auteur répond à ceux qui opinent que Jean pourrait dépendre de la source grecque des middot plutôt que des middot elles-mêmes. J. Jeremias' article "Paulus als Hillelit" is the starting point of the present reflection. Does the Gospel of John utilise the so called Middot of Hillel in the same way as Paul did? This is the problem the author deals with. In a first moment he tries to date the Middot and to show that they are ancient. Afterwards he verifies his hypothesis studying the Middot and the echo they found in John's Gospel. Finally he answers to those who pretend that John could depend on the greek source of the Middot rather then on the Middot themselves. |
