While critically reviewing and interacting with recent scholarship regarding the Decalogue and ancient Israelite law, the investigation examines the broader literary context of the Decalogue, particularly as it relates to the so-called Covenant Code. The author proposes an interrelationship between the literary structure of the Covenant Code and the Decalogue, and discusses the literary origin, evolution, and consolidation of ancient Israel's legal material. The conclusion emerges that the Decalogue's original function as family law waned as the fuller Code became an archaic preamble to an evolving corpus of legal and cultic material. Après avoir accepté que Exod. 20, 12-17 (//Deut 5, 16-21) soit le vestige d'une vieille loi sur le lignage, destinée à promouvoir la solidarité du noyau familial (voir RB 107-2 [2000], 1-30), cette étude se penche sur la transmission littéraire et historique du Decalogue. Tout en critiquant la recherche récente sur le Décalogue et la loi Israélite ancienne, et en réagissant à son égard, l'enquête examine le contexte littéraire plus large du Décalogue, notamment ce qui se rapporte au Code de l'Alliance. L'auteur suggère une interrelation entre la structure littéraire du Code de l'Alliance et celle du Décalogue, et discute l'origine littéraire, l'évolution et la consolidation du matériau légal de l'Israël ancien. Il en ressort que la fonction primitive du Décalogue comme loi familiale diminua tandis que le Code en son entier devint un préambule archaïque à un corpus légal et cultuel en expansion. | ||
