Cet article examine donc les objections, fondées sur la syntaxe et le style, qui plaident contre la leçon majoritaire de ce verset. Une autre rédaction originelle, qui tient compte des variantes de P⁶⁶, est alors imaginée. La cohérence discursive de l'ensemble du passage où figure notre verset permet d'évaluer cette hypothèse. Finding a sound interpretation for Jo 8,25 is such a difficult task that an early corruption of the verse can easily be suspected. This article examines all the stylistical and syntactical objections against the traditional text of the Johannine verse. In order to establish its original wording we take into account the variant readings found in P⁶⁶. To assess our theory we call into consideration the context of the dialogue to which Jo 8,25 belongs. |
