Description
Summary:The church and healing - an historical survey The church is concerned with healing. This is evident in Scripture and church history. The problem is that differing practices and assumptions to heal the sick were developed in the course of time by Christians. The church historian realizes how necessary it is to scrutinize the concepts of "the church" and "healing" in a Scriptural sense. The church is God’s concern for man as a corporalitas animae . Healing is part of its calling and ministry. It is no special ministry endowed to particular individuals. The church and healing is God's doing promised in his Word and realized by his Spirit. In doing so He uses the elder within the congregation, the minister and the medical doctor.
