Das betrifft nicht nur die Paulusexegese („The New Perspective on Paul“) – und den paulinischen Ausdruck „Werke des Gesetzes“ (z.B. Röm 3,28) –, vielmehr beispielsweise auch die sog. Antithesen der Bergpredigt, das lukanische Werk, das Johannesevangelium und das Apokalypse-Buch. Vor allem der (synchrone) Blick auf die frühchristlichen Texte selbst legt nämlich nahe, dass eben von ihnen her antijudaistische Auslegungsgewohnheiten überwunden werden müssen. Für den Protestantismus wird man (mit G. Theißen) von der Notwendigkeit einer „Entlutheranisierung“ zu sprechen haben, indes auch von ökumenischen Chancen – gegenüber gern als „werkgerecht“ eingeschätzten Gemeinschaften. This anthology comprises 27 of Michael Bachmann's recent exegetical New Testament studies, all of which deal with Christian-Jewish aspects. The preface "Overview" briefly introduces the contributions and simultaneously points out that, quite often, somewhat new perspectives are presented to the author. This applies not only to the exegesis of Paul ("The New Perspective on Paul") – and the Pauline expression "works of the law" (e.g., Rom. 3:28) – but also, for example, to the so-called antitheses of the Sermon on the Mount, the Lukan work, the Gospel of John, and the Book of Revelation. Above all, the (synchronic) view of the early Christian texts themselves suggests that anti-Jewish interpretive practices must be overcome, especially from these perspectives. For Protestantism, one will have to speak (with G. Theißen) of the necessity of a “de-Lutheranization,” but also of ecumenical opportunities – in relation to communities often considered “work-oriented.” [Mit KI übersetzt] |
