Description
Summary:The article is about exegesis and presuppositions from a philosophy of science point of view and concentrates on the fundamental and paradigmatic role of models of rationality (naive realism, positivism, instrumentalism and critical reaiism) in the process of biblical interpretation. The author points out that epistemological models form the basis for specific text theories and shows how text theories determine hermeneutical choices and thereby the eventual exegetical methodology employed by the exegete.
