| Summary: | For many years now studies on the northern prophets and prophecies have concentrated on Amos and Hosea, being the two well known 'representatives' of and 'spokesmen' for northern theology. In this article the opinion is expressed that all these years Amos and Hosea had a 'forgotten' partner, Micah of Samaria, whose contribution to our knowledge of northern theology has not been fully recognised. A number of reasons are given why his prophecies (Mi 6-7) should be seen as of northern origin, with the emphasis on the many correspondences existing between Micah 6-7 and Hosea. |
