Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The paper discusses three aspects of J.S. Krger's book (1995), Along edges. Religion in South Africa. Bushman, Christian, Buddhist: (a) his introduction of the Bushman religion as a new key to South African religion, (b) the problem of closure and the subsequent view of God as external and transcendent to human existence and (c) Krger's notion of aesthetics in religion and an inclusive view of religion. It is suggested that the book provides a fresh outlook on 'Africanisation' in that it proposes a fusion of African and European/Western traditions similar to that recently achieved in South African music.
