| 总结: | The relatedness of fear and religion is shown from biblical and similar texts, after which fear as dread and awe is discussed. The central part of the article surveys the mainstream interpretation in the Old Testament of fear as a virtue and its connection with obedience. It is argued that alternative opinion(exemplified by Qohelet and Job) could not accept the concept of God concomitant to this way of handling fear. The alternatives are descriptionbed as respectively a development of resignation to God's transcendence and a surrender to God's immanence in the world. |
