The lines in question, lines 51 and 52, are part of the passage that describes what weaponry the god Marduk will use in his upcoming battle with the monster Tiamat and how he will outfit himself and his war chariot. In particular, we must try to understand the manner in which Marduk attached a team of four horses to his chariot, and whether the beasts were only four or whether there were an additional four attached to the side or sides of the vehicle.
