No existe consenso sobre cómo interpretar la oposición entre la letra y el espiritu (3,6) o sobre la exegesis de la frase "el Senor es el Espiritu" (3,17). La complejidad de estas expresiones ha llevado a los estudiosos a analizarlas separadamente, olvidando su interrelación. Proponemos una hipótesis global sobre la función del πνεῦμα en 2 Co 3,1-4,6. En sintesis la experiencia del don escatológico de! Espiritu-que esta asociado a la vida, a la franqueza, a la libertad ya la revelación- es aducida por Pablo como argumento para persuadir a los corintios de que el fin de las edades ha llegado y el ha sido designado como ministro de la nueva alianza, a diferencia de sus adversarios. Los corintios deberian percatarse de ello. | ||

Tbere is no consensus on how to interpret the opposition between the letter and the spirit (3:6) or the exegesis of "the Lord is the Spirit" (3: 1 7). Tbe difficulty of these expressions has led scholars to analyse them separately, forgetting their connection. I propose a global hypothesis about the function of the πνεῦμα in 2 Co 3: 1-4:6. In short: the experience of the eschatological gift of the Spirit -which is associated with life, boldness, freedom, and revelation- is adduced by Paul as a rhetorical argument to persuade the Corinthians that the end of the ages has come and he has been appointed as minister of the new covenant, unlike his opponents. Tbe Corinthians should be aware of it. | ||
