Eye-stones
Study of eye-stones showing that they were primarily a Babylonian product. They date between the ED III and Achaemenid periods with most in the Kassite period and in the reigns of Sargon II and Nebuchadnezzar II. They were decorative items and served neither as apotropaic objects nor as eye-inlays.
