| Summary: | Abstract: In the paradise vision of Ez 47,22–23, provision is made for foreigners to be regarded as »native-born among the sons of Israel«, and an inheritance of land is promised to this group within the borders of future Israel. It is my contention that these verses, likely representing the seminal proclamation of the equality of the גר »foreigner« and אזרח »native« within the Hebrew Bible, may derive from a background of ANE adoption-alienations. Similar to adoption grants from Old Babylon, Middle Assyria, and Nuzi, outsiders are here appropriated into the local kin-ship group through the device of adoption, thus becoming legal heirs to ancestral lands. Résumé: Dans la vision du paradis en Ez. 47,22–23, les étrangers sont considérés comme »fils nés d’Israël«, et l’héritage de la terre est promis à ce groupe à l’intérieur des frontières de l’Israël futur. On avance ici que ces versets, déclarant probablement l’égalité entre גר (»étranger«) et אזרח (»natif«) dans la Bible hébraïque, dépendent d’un arrière-plan proche-oriental antique qui prévoit l’adoption et l’affranchissement. Comme dans les documents d’adoption babyloniens anciens, médio-assyriens et de Nuzi, les étrangers sont ici inclus dans la communauté locale par l’adoption, devenant de ce fait les héritiers légaux du pays ancestral. Zusammenfassung: Die Paradies-Vision von Ez 47,22–23 berücksichtigt, dass Ausländer als »Einheimische« unter den »Israeliten« gelten und verspricht dieser Gruppe, innerhalb der Grenzen des zukünftigen Israel Land zu erben. Es wird die These vertreten, dass diese Verse, die eine ursprüngliche Zusage der Gleichberechtigung von אזרח »Einheimischem« und גר »Ausländer« innerhalb der Hebräischen Bibel beinhalten, vor dem Hintergrund altorientalischer Veräußerungen durch Adoption zu verstehen sind. Ähnlich den altbabylonischen, mittel assyrischen und nuzischen Adoptionsregelungen werden Ausländer hier in die lokale Verwandtschaftsgruppe durch Adoption eingegliedert und dadurch zu rechtmäßigen Erben der angestammten Länder. |
