Description
Summary:The story of Jesus' prediction of Peter's denial, along with its subsequent realization, forms part of the material transmitted by all four evangelists. In all four it is embedded in the Passion narrative, and all four accounts share many unquestionable similarities: e.g. the prediction’ by Jesus of the denial, Peter's protestation of loyalty and his willingness to suffer death, the denial itself, in which Jesus' prediction is carried out in detail. Nevertheless, in spite of this wide measure of agreement, difficulties remain.
