In all four it is embedded in the Passion narrative, and all four accounts share many unquestionable similarities: e.g. the prediction’ by Jesus of the denial, Peter's protestation of loyalty and his willingness to suffer death, the denial itself, in which Jesus' prediction is carried out in detail.
