| Summary: | In Mk 14:25 Jesus refers to drinking wine anew or to drinking new wine in the kingdom. In order to arrive at a preference for the first or the second image, one depends much on the interpretation of the Greek kaino,n as either an attributive adjective or an adverbial adjective. The image evoked is either that of Jesus’ renewed drinking, which implies an emphasis on his vindication, or that of his enjoyment of the kingdom as new creation (see Mk 2:22). On the basis of Mt. and Lk. redaction as well as on the basis of a discussion of Mk 2:22 and 14:23-24 it is concluded that it should be preferred to interpret the image in terms of Jesus’ renewed drinking and thus in terms of his eschatological (and post-mortal) vindication by God. Die Frage, die in dieser Notiz besprochen wird, ist, ob in Mk 14,25, dem sog. eschatologischen Ausblick des letzten Mahles Jesu, ein Hinweis auf neuen Wein im Königreich zu sehen ist oder vielmehr ein Hinweis auf das erneute Trinken von Wein im Königreich. In einem ersten Schritt wird Mk 14,25 grammatikalisch analysiert, wonach in einem zweiten Schritt verschiedene andere Texte aus Mk als Interpretationshilfen herangezogen werden. Da die Ergebnisse dieser Analysen aber nicht zwingend zu einer Entscheidung in die Richtung von einer der beiden Möglichkeiten führt, wird in einem letzten Schritt analysiert, wie Mt und Lk den Vers rezipieren (Mt 26,29; Lk 22,16.18). Aufgrund der Analyse dieser Rezeption wird schlussendlich schlussgefolgert, dass in Mk 14,25 erneutes Trinken im Blick ist, nicht das Trinken neuen Weines. |
