Summary: | Talk of truth is ubiquitous in everyday life. In the postmodern discourse however concepts of truth are frequently deconstructed. To speak of truth yet remains necessary in order to orient oneself in our world. A responsible talk of truth requires a high theoretical effort. Coherency-theoretical deliberations however make the talk of truth lucent in regard to its plurality, communicability and criticizability. The Christ-faith, which is here defined as the mode of the believing existence oriented towards relational fidelity (‚Gemeinschaftstreue‘) can be perceived in the realm of Christian tradition as the necessary, but within the different concepts of world distinct, criterion of preference. In this manner talk of truth gains a potency for orientation for the understanding of self, world and god also under the conditions of our finitude and the plurality of truth-concepts. |
