| Summary: | In spring of 2016 the first field season of the Fujairah-German Archaeological Project(FGAP), a cooperation between the Fujairah Tourism & Antiquities Authority and theOrient Department of the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, was carried out. The aimwas to conduct a joint reappraisal work at the site of Qidfa 3 in the Emirate of Fujairah(UAE) since the results of the former archaeological investigations were not publishedand the importance of that 2nd millennium site was therefore never promoted. Im Frühjahr 2016 wurde die erste Kampagne des Fujairah-German ArchaeologicalProject (FGAP) in Zusammenarbeit der Fujairah Tourism & Antiquities Authority undder Orient-Abteilung des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts im Emirat von Fujairah(VAE) durchgeführt. Da die Ergebnisse der in den 90er-Jahren durchgeführten archäologischenUntersuchungen in Qidfa 3 nicht publiziert vorliegen, wurde beschlossen,erneute Ausgrabungen auszuführen und somit die Bedeutung dieses Fundortes ausdem 2. Jt. v. Chr. zu klären. |
