On a recently Found Moabite Inscription
It is argued that the appellative qn in a recently published Moabite inscription from Ataroth (modern Ḫirbet ‛Aṭarūz in Jordan) probably means »family, clan«. The combination qn + toponym probably denotes a kin-based conglomerate.
