Résumé: | This article presents an analysis of the revisions made during the consultant checking of 1 Corinthians in the Apal language. The analysis shows that lack of comprehension was more often the result of “little things” rather than major exegetical errors. This paper gives examples of six types of corrections (minor exegetical, information load, naturalness, updating key terms, minor grammatical, other minor corrections) that were made in the translation. Based on this analysis, suggestions are made that could help a translation team improve the quality of their translation. |
