Summary: | This article explores the relationship between the motifs of ‘journey’ and ‘rest’ in Hebrews with a view to highlighting the importance and characteristic features of the text’s vision of theological education. The importance of παιδɛία in Hebrews is affirmed, and contrasted with the related but distinct perspective of the Gospel of Truth. The article concludes by highlighting five features of Hebrews that are suggestive of continuing priorities in the work of theological education today. |
