Summary:The study of the use of the Old Testament in the New (OT/NT) is a developing sub-discipline within the realm of biblical studies. This article seeks to offer an introduction to some of the recent developments within OT/NT scholarship and to consider some of the presenting issues and questions that have arisen lately within the sub-discipline. In particular, it draws attention to four key areas: the context(s) of the citation, interpretative and exegetical techniques, citational text form, intertextuality.
