Summary: | This is the fourth volume of Georg Braulik's collected essays on the book of Deuteronomy. As with the previous volumes, the collection has to be understood as preliminary studies to the commentary on Deuteronomy Braulik is writing together with Norbert Lohfink. The focus of the eight studies is the exegetical method. Seven of the previously published articles were written between the years 2002 and 2005. The opening article is an extensive review of Siegfried Mittmann's 1975 study. Braulik felt the need to republish the review since several of his insights on Deuteronomy 4 have thus far been ignored. |
