Summary: | The collection of essays in this volume is the published outcome of a British–Israeli conference at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2008. One of the contributors, Émile Perreau-Saussine, a Cambridge lecturer in politics and a leading authority on the thought of Alasdair MacIntyre, died suddenly and tragically at the age of 37 before the publication, and the volume is dedicated to his memory., Inevitably, in a collection of conference papers, individual contributors bring their own areas of interest and expertise to bear on the chosen topic and it is that topic rather than the approaches of the specialized contributions that gives such a collection its primary unity. |
