Summary: | This book brings together nine lectures given by Professor Dunn to a variety of audiences (in Italy, Spain, and Israel), and the author's expressed hope is that the lectures will ‘help give a fuller appreciation of Jesus, Paul and the Gospels, of their relation to another and of their continuing importance for Christian self-understanding and for the growth of mutual understanding and respect between Jew and Christian’ (p. xi). The book brings together in a relatively popular form many of the findings and views that Professor Dunn has presented much more fully in other writings, to which he introduces the reader through an informative ‘personal introduction’ at the start of the book. |
