Description
Summary:This review article is a critical discussion of the essays on the apocryphal Acts of Peter written by several scholars, mainly from Hungary and the Netherlands, and gathered in a volume edited by Professor Jan N. Bremmer in 1998. Most of these studies contain valuable, but still rather scattered insights. Further research seems necessary in order to throw more light on the crucial problems of this apocryphal book: date and place of its redaction, history of its composition and its ideological features.
