Description
Summary:This essay responds to the arguments of Peter Nagel and Pierluigi Piovanelli that the Gospel of the Savior (Das Unbekannte Berliner Evangelium) is dependent on the Coptic New Testament and goes back only to the fifth/sixth century. The evidence for dating this ancient text is very little and what does exist suggests that the second century is still the preferred date for its origin.
