Summary: | Story theology, proposed and developed by Choan-Seng Song, played an important role in doing theology in Asia. In this paper, the author tries, by grafting to analysis of imagination in the philosophical hermeneutics of Paul Ricoeur, to investigate the secret power hidden in story theology. Intertextuality, one of presuppositions of productive imagination maintained by Ricoeur, might be extended trans-culturally in doing Asian Story Theology. Thanks to productive imagination, story theology might develop a creative hermeneutics with the stories of Asian culture and Biblical stories as its abundant resources and the Kingdom of God as its ultimate vision. |
