| Summary: | After a brief introduction, this article points to four aspects related to the evolution / revolution in the understanding of the Pentateuch: first, the radical transformation in the classical historical-critical studies; second, an analysis of some of the main changes in modern historical-critical exegesis; third, the question for the biblical and theological relevance of such changes concerning historicity of the texts and biblical faith, uniqueness of ancient Israel and early Judaism, the divine project for humankind and Israel, and the meaning of the open end of Torah; fourth, pluralism of biblical readings typical of postmodernism. Tras una breve introducción, el artículo se estructura en cuatro puntos, referentes a la evolución / revolución en la comprensión del Pentateuco: el primero se centra en la transformación radical operada por los estudios histórico-críticos clásicos; el segundo analiza algunos de los cambios más significativos realizados por los estudios histórico-críticos recientes; el tercero se pregunta por la relevancia bíblica y teológica de tales cambios en lo concerniente a la historicidad de los textos y la fe bíblica, a la singularidad del antiguo Israel y del judaísmo naciente, al proyecto divino sobre la humanidad y sobre Israel y al significado del final abierto de la Torá; el cuarto, en fin, se asoma al pluralismo de las lecturas bíblicas, característico del postmodernismo. |
