Comment l'auteur sait-il ce qui s'est passé derrière les murs du palais ? Il n'a pu qu'imaginer certaines scènes. Pour d'autres, il est sans doute prisonnier des informations officielles du nouveau pouvoir, qui cherche à faire passer Salomon pour le véritable héritier de David. En fait, on n'est pas sûr que ce dernier soit son fils, et le scénario du récit n'est pas vraisemblable. Dès lors il faut se demander si les conspirateurs n'ont pas assassiné le roi, puis maquillé leur crime et annoncé les dernières volontés supposées du défunt. The anti-Solomonian pamphlet which is underlining 1 K 1-2 shows that the accession of Solomon to the throne arises from a coup. The designation of Solomon by David could have been extorted by Nathan, then the ageing king could have died the very same day. Later, Adonias and Joab could have been put to death. How does the ancien author know what happened behind the walls of the palace? He can only have imagine some of the scenes. For others scenes, he is probably bound by official information from the new power, which is looking towards having Solomon being seen as the true heir of David. By the way, we are not sure that Solomon is his son, and the scenario of the tale is not credible. Therefore, one can ask if the conspirators have not killed the king, then disguised their crime and proclaimed the last supposed will of the deceased. |
