Dans la Note précédente, nous avons établi la théorie interprétative particulière à cette œuvre: la cohérence interne des niveaux d'explication. Celle-ci bouleversait l'interprétation traditionnelle du passage relatif à la chair soumise à l'esprit (HSim V, 6, 4-8) : la péricope n'est pas christologique. En appliquant cette même théorie au passage explicitement chrislologique de la Cinquième Similitude (HSim V, 5 — 6, 3), nous découvrons une conception du Christ fort éloignée du binitarisme et de l'adoptianisme si souvent incriminés au Pasteur. The Fifth Similitude of The Shepherd by Hermas presents an apparently confused christology. In the preceding Note, we established the interpretative theory proper to this work: the coherence of the various levels of explanation. This changed completely the traditional comprehension of the passage concerning the flesh in submission to the spirit (HSim V, 6, 4-8) for the extract is not christological. Applying the same theory to the explicitly christological passage (HSim V, 5—6, 3), we discover a conception of Christ very far from the binitarism and the adoptianism of which The Shepherd is so often accused. |
