| Summary: | Fundamentalism is not a religious phenomenon, but an ideological one in any social, political or cultural order. It manifests itself with similar traits in the religious sphere: with a dualistic and exclusive message, separating the bad from the good, and a centralizing of power imposed by absolute leaders including an appropriation of financial resources. Approaching the subject of the Tithe, the article presents the intentionality of the text at the time of writing and the uses that are made of it, to maintain a priestly system that distances God from the people. At the same time, we can reveal elements that help us understand the reasons why today it is such an important topic within some churches. El fundamentalismo no es un fenómeno religioso, sino ideológico en cualquier orden social, político o cultural. Se manifiesta con rasgos similares en lo religioso: con un mensaje dualista y excluyente, separando los malos de los buenos, y un centralismo de poder impuesto por líderes absolutos incluyendo una apropiación de recursos financieros. Con el acercamiento al tema del diezmo el artículo presenta la intencionalidad del texto en el tiempo de redacción y los usos que se hacen de este, para mantener un sistema sacerdotal que lo que hace es alejar a Dios del pueblo. Al mismo tiempo podemos revelar elementos que nos ayuden a entender las razones por las que hoy es un tema tan importante al interior de las algunas iglesias. |
