Description
Summary:The classification of angels, which is now widespread in Christian circles, was studied and expounded by a late fifth-century theologian known as the Pseudo-Dionysius Areopagite. In his work The Celestial Hierarchy, this author classifies spiritual creatures into nine classes of angels, divided into three hierarchies, each one comprises different orders. In them he included the seraphim and the cherubim. However, this classification, which is still accepted today, is not in accordance with what the Scripture says.
