| Summary: | Partant de la notion linguistique de connotation, l'article tente de montrer la fécondité de son emploi méthodique pour la lecture de la Bible. Alors que l'intertextualité s'appuie sur la proximité que des textes dénotent entre eux, la connotation travaille au niveau de la réception, dans l'écho que l'énonciation rencontre chez le lecteur. Des exemples pris à différents niveaux illustrent les effets produits tant sur le plan spatial que temporel. Starting from the linguistic notion of connotation, the article tries to show the fruitfulness of its methodical use for the reading of the Bible. While intertextuality is based on the proximity that texts denote to each other, connotation works at the level of reception, in the echo that the enunciation meets in the reader. Examples taken from different levels illustrate the effects produced on both the spatial and temporal levels. |
