Summary: | In any humanist vision of reality, rereading the founding texts of "cultural memory" is helpful. Thus, we can lead to an identity update that opens up new perspectives. Advances in the sciences that accompany biblical theology facilitate this task. In the present work, we approach the task of revisiting Gen 2:4b-25 with a philological approach that respects the text in its originality and sheds light on the present. The original design for the human being is an action that develops the world with care. At the same time, the human being himself progresses in and through the "spousal covenant". This covenant is a significant category for understanding human existence, both for structuring society and for understanding its relationship to the Creator. |
