Esta sección forma un bloque entre el libro de los signos (1, 19-12, 50) y el libro de la realización o glorificación (18, 1-20,31). Se distinguen dos partes: 13, 1-14, 35 y 15,1-16,33. La primera responde más bien a la época de Jesús y la segunda a la época de la comunidad joánina que sufre persecución y odio de parte de la sinagoga y el mundo. También el capítulo 17 tiene este doble contexto: vv. 1-19 y vv. 20-26. Los temas: lavar los pies, comer el pan, vivir en fraternidad, la fuerza de la comunidad, el Espíritu de la Verdad, permanecer en Jesús, el odio contra la comunidad, los discípulos están en el mundo, sin ser del mundo. Structural, theological and of pastoral analysis of John 13-17, which forms a block betweeen the book of signs (1,19-12,50) and the book realization and gorification (18, 1-20,31). Two parts are distinguished: 13, 1-14, 35 and 15,1-16,33. The first has to do with the time of Jesus, and the second with the time of the Johannine community as it suffered hatred and persecution by the synagogue and the world. Chapter 17 also has this double context: vv. 1-19, and 20-26. The themes: the washing of the feet; eating bread; living in fraternity; the strength of the community; the Spirit of the Truth; remaining in Jesus; the hatred directed against the community; the disciples are in the world but not of the world. |
