| Summary: | Cet article propose trois hypothèses de restitution de baptistères sur le site de la grande église du quartier oriental de la ville, qui passe désormais pour la cathédrale protobyzantine de la métropole d’Arabie. L’observation de différents indices archéologiques étaye, pour trois états successifs du monument disparu, ce qui demeure en l’état des suppositions argumentées. Peut-être le dossier s’enrichirait-il de la lecture, récemment renouvelée, d’une inscription errante signalant un baptistère à Bostra (IGLS XIII/2, no 9141). The observation of several archaeological evidence supports, for three successive states of this vanished monument, what remain so far only argued assumptions. The new reading of a wandering inscription related to a baptistery in Bostra may come as an additional clue (IGLS XIII/2, no 9141).
