| Summary: | Les inscriptions qui ornent les salles des fonts baptismaux désignent parfois par un nom particulier le local où est conféré le sacrement du baptême, aux ve-viie s. Un examen terminologique peut permettre, au regard du contexte archéologique des documents disponibles, de préciser la portée liturgique, sacramentaire ou institutionnelle des trois termes grecs employés dans les provinces du Proche-Orient proto-byzantin : diakonikon (διακονίκον), baptistèrion (βαπτιστήριον) ou phôtistèrion (φωτιστήριον). Nettement le plus fréquent dans la région, ce dernier vocable semble mieux répondre à la théologie biblique qui s’affirme alors, comme au souci de désigner le parcours complet de l’initiation chrétienne. Observations on baptismal inscriptions from the Protobyzantine Near East: terminology, theology, and liturgy The inscriptions found in the rooms where is settled the baptismal font sometimes designate by a particular name the place where baptism is conferred, in the 5th-7th century. When compared to the archaeological context of the available documents, a terminological examination may allow to specify the liturgical, sacramental or institutional significance of the three Greek terms used in the proto-Byzantine provinces of the Middle East: diakonikon (διακονίκον), baptistèrion (βαπτιστήριον), and phôtistèrion (φωτιστήριον). Without contest the most frequent in the region, the latter seems to respond better to the Biblical theology then asserting itself, as well as to the concern to designate the complete course of the Christian initiation. ملاحظات حول نقوش المعموديات في الشرق الأدنى في بدايات الفترة البيزنطية: المصطلحات واللاهوت والطقوسمن خلال اسم معين تحدد النقوش المزينة لقاعات الكتابات المعمودية المكان الذي يمنح فيه سر المعمودية في القرنين الخامس والسابع. تسمح الدراسة الاصطلاحية (اللغوية) على ضوء السياق الأثري للوثائق المتاحة في تحديد النطاق الليتورجي الطقسي الكنسي أو المؤسساتي لثلاثة مصطلحات يونانية كانت مستخدمة في مقاطعات الشرق الأدنى في بدايات الفترة البيزنطية: دياكونيكون (διακονίκον)، بابتستيريون (βαπτιστήριον)، فوتستيريون (φωτιστήριον). من الواضح أن المصطلح الأخير هو الأكثر شيوعاً في المنطقة، ويبدو أنه كان يتطابق بشكل أفضل مع اللاهوت الكتابي، حيث يشير للمسار الكامل للتنشئة المسيحية. |
