Description
Summary:The article examines three texts from Acts (12:19b-23; 14:8-18; 17:16-34) that speak about God the Creator, about man as creature of the Creator, and general human experiences in the midst of creation. In the scenes and speeches of Acts, the topic of creation functions as a communicative bridge connecting Christian and non-Christian believers as they share the same creational experiences and understand those arguments. At the same time the theology of creation in Acts has an ethical and power-critical impact: human creatureliness underlines the common dignity of all people as self-righteous exercise of power, the deification and oppression of man are criticized.
