Description
Summary:In South Africa too little attention is paid to the sociological study of ancient Israel. Too often it is still viewed as a minor part of Biblical Studies which can easily be disposed of. A sociological study focusses the attention on the Israelite society which can be studied from the viewpoint of micro- or macrosociology. Beforehand the investigator must determine how Israelite society is to be approached and his decision will influence the research strategy right from the outset.
