Some Observations on the Scribal Practices in Tefillin from Qumran
This note explores two previously unnoticed strategies of grouping scriptural passages in some of the Qumran tefillin and suggests an explanation for the presence of large blank spaces left by scribes on the back of several tefillin slips.
