| Summary: | El genocidio en Palestina es ya innombrable y el argumento bíblico que acompaña esta invasión y por lo tanto, esta guerra es inadmisible. El horror es tanto que cada vez hay menos formas de expresar este dolor y esta rabia, y hay poco que parezca significativo ante tal brutalidad y sufrimiento. Este escrito es una mínima forma de expresar el repudio, pero también de dejar la ternura, la solidaridad y formas de resistir para honrar la lucha y la firmeza del pueblo palestino. Es también una pro- puesta metodológica: hacer de un elemento de la religiosidad popular, como lo es el exvoto mexicano, un lugar de denuncia y resistencia. Es una metodología que permite hacer una demanda por el despojo de la tierra, de la cultura palestina y de las vidas humanas en manos del estado espurio de Israel. La relevancia del exvoto está en lo accesible de su mensaje y también en recuperar su memoria y uso. Hacer un exvoto para Palestina, significa hacer notar la voz de todas las personas que han sido obligadas al silencio y al despojo. The genocide in Palestine is already unspeakable, and the biblical argument that ac-companies this invasion, and therefore, this war, is inadmissible. The horror is such that there are fewer and fewer ways to express this pain and anger, and there seems to be little that appears meaningful in the face of such brutality and suffering. This writing is a minimal way of expressing repudiation, but also of leaving tenderness, solidarity, and ways of resisting to honour the struggle and steadfastness of the Pales-tinian people. It is also a methodological proposal: to turn an element of popular re-ligiosity, such as the Mexican ex-voto, into a place of denunciation and resistance. It is a methodology that allows for a demand for the dispossession of land, Palestinian culture, and human lives at the hands of the spurious state of Israel. The relevance of the ex-voto lies in the accessibility of its message and also in reclaiming its memory and use. Making an ex-voto for Palestine means highlighting the voice of all those who have been forced into silence and dispossession. |
