| Résumé: | A careful study of four beatitudes found in Revelation (Rev 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6), usually considered to be editorial additions, reveals their common opposition to the worship of the Beast described in chapter 13. As a result, they appear as a denunciation of the imperial cult as it was practised in first-century Asia Minor, a characteristic that is further reinforced by the similarities between these beatitudes and other literary forms found in classical Hellenistic literature. L’étude attentive de quatre béatitudes présentes dans l’Apocalypse (Ap 14,13; 16,15; 19,9; 20,6), habituellement considérées comme des ajouts éditoriaux, révèle leur commune opposition à l’adoration de la Bête décrite dans le chap. 13. De ce fait, elles apparaissent comme un élément de dénonciation du culte impérial, tel qu’il était vécu en Asie mineure, au Ier s., caractéristique encore renforcée par les ressemblances de ces béatitudes avec des formes littéraires analogues découvertes dans la littérature hellénistique classique. |
