Cela révèle un phénomène de «ponts narratifs» que Marc, s’il a écrit en dernier, a peut-être construit intentionnellement pour maintenir la continuité entre les ordres de Matthieu et de Luc alors qu’il alternait entre eux. Des explications compositionnelles sont proposées pour les cas relativement rares dans lesquels l’ordre de Marc ne correspond pas exactement à celui de Matthieu ou de Luc, ainsi que pour l’emplacement des transitions entre les blocs d’accord. I present a new analysis of narrative order in the synoptic gospels. The analysis uses a new method of pericope divisions to map Mark’s narrative order in relation to those of Matthew and Luke. This uncovers a phenomenon of ‘narrative bridges’ which Mark, if he wrote last, may have constructed intentionally to maintain continuity between Matthew’s and Luke’s orders as he alternated between them. Compositional explanations are offered for the relatively few instances in which Mark’s order does not exactly match either that of Matthew or Luke, as well as for the location of the transitions between blocks of agreement. |
