Description
Summary:For too long the Bible was seen as a book with exact anthropological historical, theological, et cetera information. Today the Bible is seen as religious literature which is influenced by the cultural context of the time in which it was founded, and can therefore be analysed with the same apparatus as is used for other literature. Psychology has been the stepchild of Biblical interpretation. This article offers a psychological understanding of Job as a contribution to the hermeneutical exegesis of the Bible. Job is viewed from a psycho-analytical perspective, as presented by Walter Brueggemann.
